Live to die? No, live forever

Science has advanced in so many directions, even to explore space but the subject of DEATH remains largely unexplored. Few are the doctors, scientists and philosophers who have studied the subject of Death  of the phenomenon of Death itself and of what happens after Death. Scientists are ever expounding to the world truths about the human body and its brief existence on this planet, about the atoms, and about natural cataclysms but little is taught about this terrible end called Death that comes to every man. Few seem to have the ability or desire to study about Death, and yet it is engulfing everyone and inescapably awaits scientists and scholars alike. Pain, crying, illness, injury, fear, sorrow, broken-heartedness, disappointment and want, we experience until finally we are swallowed up by Death itself, never more to return to the land of the living. The moment a man leaves the womb to greet the sunlight, it is as if he signs a pact with Death. There can be no liking or disliking it. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. “For the wages of sin is death” (Rom.3:23; 6:23). “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Heb.9:27). Each one of us will surely die; and if we are separated from God in this life, we will be separated from Him throughout eternity. We will lose forever the gifts of life, such as love, joy, beauty, truth, peace, and happiness and suffer eternally the torments of Death with its anguish, darkness, loneliness, shame and regret.

One person alone has unlocked the mysteries of Death and revealed to mankind the “New and Living Way” to life and immortality Our Savior Jesus Christ, “who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (II Tim.1:10). History revolves around Him and His birth into the world has partitioned history into B.C. and A.D. And life and death revolve around Him as He died for our sins, was buried, and was raised by the power of God triumphant over sin, death, hell and the grave. A great multitude of disciples were eye witnesses of His resurrection, and millions around the world today testify that indeed He is alive. “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and. behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” (Rev.1:18).

Jesus humbled Himself even unto the death on the cross. He had to taste death for every man, “That through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage” (Heb.2:9,14,15).

During His lifetime on earth, Jesus Christ taught intensely about life, death and immortality. He manifested, that He Himself is the Resurrection and the Life by healing the incurably diseased, raising the dead to life, causing the blind to see, the deaf to hear, and the cripple to walk. He taught a life of implicit faith in God and miraculously fulfilled the material needs of those who sought His help. With absolute certainty He taught about life after death. He willingly bore our sins and took our punishment on Himself on the cross. Then Jesus rose triumphantly that we might believe in Him and know that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

The Way – Jesus is the Living Way Who brings you to God the Father making you a victor over every trial, that you too may face death with no fear and in full assurance of life eternal.

The Truth – Jesus is the Truth that your soul longs to know, the One Who will, set you free from sin and fear.

The Life – Jesus is Eternal life that a clinical death cannot put an end to, Life that will be clothed with an incorruptible, immortal body.

Soon the grim angel of Death will demand your soul, by accident, disease, or old age. Before you are lost forever in everlasting Death, consider your great need of Jesus Christ. He said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (Jn.11:25). Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, repent of your sins, and receive Him as your Savior. Death will have no power over you as God will fill you with the Spirit of holiness that raised Christ from the dead.

Come, listen and learn. The Truth will set you free from sin and Death. Jesus Christ, Who is the Resurrection and the Life invites you to come to this.

Prayer: “Dear Lord Jesus, I realize that I have only one life and that it will soon be past. I realize I am a sinner. All my possessions, all my friends cannot save me. I come to You with a broken and contrite heart. I repent of all my sins. Please forgive me and wash me. Make me ready to meet You. Amen.”
